Pierce is instrumental in the submission process of new development applications, due diligence management and other critical pieces of pre-development work. He helps build relationships with our partners from all the various facets of the development process from housing authorities, municipalities, and land owners, to general contractors, architects, and engineers. Pierce is a Georgia native raised in the suburbs of Atlanta. Since graduating from Georgia College & State University in 2012, he has worked in both the public and private sector development. His first initiation into the Atlanta’s thriving development ecosystem was during his internship and subsequent employment (post-college) with Invest Atlanta, the city’s economic and community development arm. Using the robust foundation of experience and knowledge afforded by that opportunity, Pierce was able to transition into true affordable housing development with The Benoit Group, another metro Atlanta based firm. During this time and prior to joining The Paces Foundation, Pierce helped to found a non-profit called Swope Dreams, whose ultimate mission is to increase access to affordable housing to those who most need it in Atlanta’s metro region. As a member of the board, he has helped facilitate new connections and opportunities by leveraging such partners as the Annie E. Casey Foundation & Atlanta Land Trust Collaborative. It is this connection and passion for community development and affordable housing that has led him to be part of the Paces team in an effort to further their sustainable, affordable housing initiatives.
