Lariat Village

Lariat Village will be a new four-story, 120-unit affordable rental development on a 4.8 acre site. The L-shaped housing complex will provide one-, two-, and three-bedroom units for individuals and families that are expected to be available in 2027. These units will feature Energy Star-qualified appliances and fixtures, water-efficient plumbing, and rainwater harvesting. The property’s amenities will include interior community rooms, a fitness room, on-site laundry facilities, and WiFi along with green spaces and exterior common areas.

Lariat Village will be 100% affordable, with apartment rents offered at 30% to 70% of the Area Median Income. With a total estimated cost of $44,021,829, funding will come from federal grants administered by the City of Tucson Housing & Community Development Department and the City of Tucson Public Housing Authority. Additional funding will include federal Low Income Housing Tax credits, a permanent loan, National Housing Trust Funds awarded by the Arizona Department of Housing, and Pima County gap funding.
