The Paces Foundation Gifts the Equity and Transfers Ownership of its First Special Needs Property to View Point Health
Those with special needs in behavioral health areas require total health solutions with integrated care coordination. Without the proper support, this population is at risk of homelessness and chronic crisis. Hope starts with supportive affordable housing where counselors can help them gain employment training and watch for trouble signs of depression or relapse before they escalate and potentially drain hospitals, police, and court systems. The Paces Foundation gifted the equity and transferred ownership of the property to View Point Health. The Paces Foundation and its partners hope to spread the word about how special needs housing gives people the step up they need to succeed ultimately benefitting the entire community.
Speakers for the March 25 event included:
Doug Scott, Housing Director, Georgia Department of Behavioral Health
Paul Bolster, Executive Director, Georgia’s Supportive Housing Association
Mark du Mas, President, The Paces Foundation
Jennifer Hibbard, CEO, View Point Health
Tours of the property followed the grand opening ceremony and ribbon cutting.
