Making independent living a reality

Affordable housing for those with disabilities

There are thousands of people with physical, developmental, and mental disabilities that put them at a disadvantaged income level. They face special challenges and among them is affordable housing. Many of them are in a position to live independently and away from traditional institutions or facilities. Integrating them into communities betters not just their mindset but their quality of life.

The Paces Foundation makes sure to provide people with disabilities housing that accommodates their needs. There are a host of building guidelines that we adhere to so that the units are easy for people to maneuver in if they have a physical disability. Lower countertops, wide door frames, showers with support rails, wisely placed outlets are a few examples. However we also ensure that solid transportation options are available to and from our properties so receiving the health care support they need isn’t such an obstacle.
